Course Description

Focus on Asphalt Surface Treatments and Pavements with an introduction to Hot Mix Asphalt - covering its composition, application, and inspection essentials. To reinforce classroom learning, participants will take a coordinated trip to an active work zone and a TxDOT laboratory. During this trip, participants will gain firsthand experience with the environmental conditions and safety practices of an active work zone, and observe safety protocols of a laboratory.

  • Equipment used for paving operations.
